Ticket sales close at midnight tonight!

It’s so close now I can smell it! Ticket sales through the Ticketsellers site will be closed at midnight tonight, after that you will have to get them directly from Barry at Fellfoot Wood (see ‘tickets’ page for info), or on the door if there are any left. Tickets will also be more expensive on the door so you are strongly advised to purchase in advance if you possibly can. The site will be open for registration from 2pm on friday, there will be strictly no admittance before this, so please don’t arrive early, or you will have to wait! If you have bought tickets through Ticketsellers already, please don’t forget to bring your ticket reference number, as you will have to present this at registration. Think that’s all, travel safely, and see you in the woods 🙂

Just one week to go!!!

Just one week to go now until Unorthodox Paradox, my little shindig in beautiful Fellfoot Wood on Lake Windermere. So that’s just 7 days to get your tickets if you haven’t already. With music from amazing bands like Jim Noir, Circulus, a.P.A.t.T., Tall Ships and loads more, plus the unique ‘Unorthodox surprise’, this will be the coolest, cosiest and most unorthodox musical event this summer, no doubt! Come and spend 3 days and nights soaking up the atmosphere with a bunch of friendly, like-minded people 🙂 Advance tickets are £50 for the full weekend (with camping), or £20 for one day (with camping). Gig only tickets are also available at just £12!

Tickets will be available on the door (if it hasn’t sold out), but they will be more expensive – £60 for the weekend / £25 for one night (with camping) / £15 gig only. So it makes sense to buy in advance if at all possible.

Weather forecast for the region that weekend is looking ok at the moment, with a great possibility of plenty of BEAUTIFUL SUN…and the site is well set up to cope with that other thing that begins with ‘r’ anyway…so you can watch all the bands in a warm and dry covered area if the unthinkable happens (but it won’t)!

Please share this with all of your networks, even if you can’t come yourself, and help support a truly independent and non-corporate music event…there’s not many of them around!

Info on where to buy tickets, and all the other stuff you might possibly need to know, is RIGHT HERE! 🙂

The Retinal Circus to kick things off on Friday :-)

So this is how it will all begin at the Unorthodox Paradox, some rather beautiful ambient musings from The Retinal Circus. I doubt his set will ALL be like this, but I’m rather hoping at least some of it will be…

Circulus to headline Sunday night!

Bringing the weekend to a conclusion at Unorthodox Paradox (and ushering in the ‘Unorthodox surprise’), we have the marvellous Circulus…this live vid of their classic ‘Willow Tree’ song is a bit distorted, but gives you a good idea of just how cool they will be live…

Tall Ships to share headline duties on Friday night!

Sharing headline duties with a.P.A.t.T. on the friday night are Tall Ships…haven’t heard of them? Check the video…an awesome live band…

Jim Noir to headline Saturday night!

The wonderful Jim Noir and band will be headlining the Saturday night at Unorthodox Paradox in July, quirky psychedelic pop ahoy! A great chance to see him in a much more cosy setting than the festivals he usually plays…

Lifecyle added to lineup!

Very happy to have London electronic rock trio Lifecycle as the final (probably) addition to the lineup for UP 2012 🙂 Check this vid for an idea of what to expect…

Lovely new flyer finished :-)

Tickets NOW ON SALE :-)

Tickets for The Unorthodox Paradox are NOW ON SALE 🙂 I know you’ve all just been paid (well, those of you lucky enough to have a job), so what are you waiting for? Three days in glorious July, in the beautiful setting of Fellfoot Wood, with more amazing bands than you could shake a very sizeable stick at, and all for £50. I know it’s said a lot about events of this type, but tickets for this really are heinously limited, and trust me you don’t want to miss out…so get yours early, and not only will you be safe in the knowledge that you’ll be able to come, but you will also earn my undying love 🙂 Check the website for more details and to purchase your tickets (day tickets are also available for £20 & £12, with and without camping respectively)…
